Instrumentation Cable
GRID INDIA POWER CABLES PVT. LTD. Manufactures a wide
variety of cables suitable for process instrumentation. In the projects
related to power generation and distribution, chemical and fertilizer
industries and various other types of engineering industries, the process
instrumentation plays a vita role in measurement, supervision ad control of
the process. Introduction of microprocessor based / computerized
instrumentation has demanded stringent quality requirements alongwith
special electrical parameters for instrumentation cables. Very low level
electrical signals pass between measuring end and display units /
controllers which are situated far off. These low level signals are prone to
external noise pickups and heavy silenuation during transmission.
All this means that the cables to be used for instrumentation should be
designed and manufactured very carefully, GRID CABLES with its meticulous
efforts in maintaining quality, stringent in process control during
manufacture and the knowledge of cable designing, is proud to say that it is
capable of supplying instrumentation cables meeting any Indian /
International standard or a specific requirement desired by project
authority. The efforts done by GRID CABLES in manufacturing shielded
instrumentation cable are reqarded by acceptance of our quality by the
countrys prime organizations such as NTPL, PDIL, EIL, BHEL, TATAs,
IOCL, L&T, ABB, KPUPP Ind., BPCL, HPCL, BSES, SIEMENS , Development
consultants Ltd., Electricity Boards, etc.

Concentric Conductor Cables
We offer Concentric Conductor Cables in standard
widths and also as per bulk buyer's specifications. These cables are
manufactured from quality cadmium-free raw material and silicone is not
present in them. They are free from substances harmful to the wetting
properties of lacquers. Our range of Concentric Conductor Cables find
application as power cables, where increased electrical and mechanical
protection is required. Bulk buyers can avail them at competitive prices.
upto 1100 V (NYCWY/NYY)
Applications
- Power cables for energy supply are used for industry and distribution
boards, power stations, house connecting boxes and street lighting and
as control cables for the transmission of control impulses and test
data.
- Overall, where increased electrical and also mechanical protection
are required. These cables are installed in open air, in underground, in
water, indoors and in cable ducts.
- The concentric conductor (C) is allowed use as PE-, PEN-conductor or
as shield.
- Due to the typical construction of concentric conductors it is
possible to obtain many more cable joints, without cutting any
conductor. In that way the operating reliability is guaranteed.
- The product conforms to the EC Low-Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC and
93/68/EEC.
Properties
- PVC self-extinguishing and flame retardant according to DIN VDE 0482
part 265-2-1/ EN 50265-2-1/ IEC 60332-1 (equivalent DIN VDE 0472 part
804 test method B).
- The materials used in manufacture are cadmium-free and contain no
silicone and free from substances harmful to the wetting properties of
lacquers.
- Highest permissible voltage. Direct current systems 1.8 kV.
- Alternating current systems, single-phase systems 1.4 kV - both
conductors insulated, single-phase systems 0.7 kV - One conductor
grounded,three-phase systems 1.2 kV- With concentric conductor and a
cross-section of 240 mm2 and above 3.6 kV
Technical Specification
- Power and control cable as per DIN VDE 0276 part 603, HD 603 S1 &
IEC 60502
- Temperature range flexing -5°C to +50°C; fixed installation
-40°C to +70°C
- Nominal voltage U0/U 0,6/1 kV
- Test voltage 4 kV
- Max. permissible tensile stress with cable grip for Cu-conductor= 50
N/mm2
- Minimum bending radius for single conductor approx. 15x cable ; for
multi conductor approx. 12x cable
